NOW ROBOTS TO KILL CORONA VIRUS

Schools closed, colleges closed. Malls empty , flights grounded and even international borders closed. But hospitals are still open , doctors still risk their lives to treat patients infected by corona virus. How about treating human's life without putting at risk another human's life.

UVD Robots is a Danish company that are able to disinfect patient's room and operating theaters in hospitals.Every robot is equipped with array of powerful short wavelength ultraviolet-C(UVC) lights that emit enough energy to literally shred the DNA or RNA of any microorganisms .Company's robots have been operating in China past two to three weeks.

UV disinfecting technology has been around for something like a century and is commonly used to disinfect drinking water. We  don't see it much outside fixed infrastructure because we have to point UV lamp directly at the surface for couple of minutes to make it effective. Since it may cause damage to skin and eyes , humans have to be careful around it.

UVC light is one of the three types of ultraviolet rays from sun , has wavelength between 200 to 400 nanometers. It's effective in killing bacteria and viruses as it destroys molecular bonds that holds their DNA together. It takes around 20 minutes to completely disinfect the DNA and RNA of microbes.

UVD robots could also work in hotels, offices and security checks.

HOLOGRAM OF R2D2 FROM STAR WARS FINALLY BUILT

Remember the scene from the movie Star Wars R2 D2 projects Hologram to display map of a ship .

Holovect is a Holographic Display that draws objects in the air with light. The Holovect Mk II is a self-contained laser-based volumetric display system that fits on your lab bench or desktop.

It is the perfect companion to a 3d printer and a stand-alone educational or promotional device. The Holovect Mk II is the first commercially available, laser-based desktop "holographic" display, capable of drawing 3D objects in air with light.

HOVERBIKE - THE FUTURE OF TRANSPORTATION

A Russian drone start-up called Hoversurf unveiled a prototype for a single-seat aircraft that you can drive yourself. Dubbed the Scorpion-3, the electric-powered hoverbike is capable of lifting itself and a driver into the air. It combines a traditional motorcycle design with quadcopter technology, allowing both professionals and amateurs to easily control and maneuver the vehicle. Using proprietary software, the company is able to limit the range and velocity of the hoverbike to ensure the safety of the driver.

GHOST ROBOT

Ghost Robotics is revolutionizing legged robotics and the market for small to medium unmanned ground vehicles (SUGV, UGVs) used in rough, unstructured terrain and harsh environments with direct-drive technology.
Beyond all terrain operation, a core design principle for our legged robots is reduced mechanical complexity when compared to other legged and tracked UGVs on the market.  By reducing complexity, we inherently increase durability and reduce the cost to build and deploy robots, increasing adoption across a range of potential markets.

CONSTRUCTION SITE - ROBOTS AT WORK

Think of it as souped up self driving 3d printer on wheels. So for the moment market of construction robotics is still in its infancy. The Swiss Federal Institute of technology in Zurich uncurls the brick laying robot in 2015 while Eindhoven university of technology showed a 3d concrete printer the same year. At DARPA robotics gunshots robots used power tools to finish certain task. Now there are commercial companies that are entering into space. Blueprint robotics in New Jersey has facility where home making robots can build prefabricated walls , roof and floors.

VEINVIEWER - A DEVICE THAT HELPS IN DETECTING VEIN PROBLEMS

VEINVIEWER is a device works by shining an infrared light on the area, observing it with a camera, and projecting the image onto the patient's skin.

AccuVein's second generation product also displays the veins on the surface of the skin.

This second generation vein illuminator allows the user to hold the device in any direction, sees deeper and can be held at a wider range of distance from the skin, though it is still small and hand held
